Surface Smoothness
1. Bubbling of the veneer indicates uneven heating or uneven glue application during the veneer application process. A flatbed hot press can solve the problem of uneven heating when applying veneer to flat doors.
2. Insufficient surface smoothness of the wooden door indicates the use of cheaper boards. If the boards lack smoothness, their environmental performance is unlikely to meet standards. This is a case of "a leaf falling indicates the whole autumn."
3. Check if the seams are even and fine: This is similar to selecting a car, directly reflecting the company's overall craftsmanship level.
4. Check the installation quality: Although finished door sets are manufactured in the factory, they are only considered complete when they are delivered to the customer. Therefore, the door is only a semi-finished product after leaving the factory; installation is the crucial step. A good installation process, good installation tools, and experienced installation technicians are key to successful installation.
5. Check the hardware: Finally, let's talk about the hardware. Hardware is an area where wooden door manufacturers and customers often argue about door quality. It's recommended that customers avoid purchasing hardware separately. If the manufacturer cannot provide suitable hardware, choose hardware from reputable manufacturers, as these products usually come with a lifetime warranty.
Paint
1. Look at and feel the fullness of the paint film. This requires comparing several times to get a feel for it. A full paint film indicates good paint quality, strong adhesion, and good sealing of the wood. It also indicates a thorough painting process, preventing any suspicion of shoddy workmanship.
2. Stand at an angle to the side of the door to find the reflective angle of the surface. Check if the paint film is smooth, if there is obvious orange peel effect, and if there are any small raised particles.
3. If the orange peel effect is obvious, it indicates that the paint film baking process is substandard.
4. For doors with decorative designs, check the edges of the lines that create the design, especially the inside corners (the corners you can see but can't touch), for any cracks in the paint film.
5. Ask about the type of paint. The most common answer is PU paint (polyurethane paint). Note that the advantages of PU paint are easy sanding and quick, labor-saving processing. The disadvantage is that the paint film is soft, and even minor bumps can easily cause white marks and dents. If at least one layer of PE paint is used, this possibility is greatly reduced. The advantages of PE paint (polyester paint) are a hard paint film, strong coverage, good transparency, and better display of wood veneer texture. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to sand and the processing is time-consuming and labor-intensive; most manufacturers are unwilling to use PE coatings.
